Shoulder stretching

Shoulder stretching refers to a set of exercises designed to improve flexibility, mobility, and range of motion in the shoulder joints. These stretches can help relieve tension, prevent injuries, and enhance overall shoulder function. Common shoulder stretches include:

  • Across-the-Body Stretch: Bringing one arm across the chest and gently pulling it closer with the other arm.
  • Overhead Stretch: Reaching both arms overhead and leaning to one side to stretch the side of the body and shoulders.
  • Doorway Stretch: Standing in a doorway and placing your arms on the doorframe, then leaning forward to stretch the chest and shoulders.
  • Triceps Stretch: Raising one arm overhead, bending the elbow to touch the upper back, and using the other hand to gently push the elbow for a deeper stretch.
